We are disappointed by their [Obama administration] behavior recently. Because we expected this administration different from Bush’s administration. –President Bashar Al-Assad
Bashar al Assad, the President of Syria has been under fire for the massive casualties alleged to be amassing in Syria’s civil war. Assad granted an interview to American journalist Charlie Rose. During that interview Assad claims that Syrian troops were not in the region where the chemical attacks took place.
Assad also questioned John Kerry’s allegations of proof that chemical attacks did in fact occur. He briefly mentioned that Americans were given “false” evidence by Secretary of State Colin Powell prior to invading Iraq. He then compared Powell’s statements to Kerry’s and included the fact that John Kerry has refused to make his “evidence” available to the American public or the international community.
Finally Assad challenges Charlie Rose as a reporter to obtain evidence of the chemical attacks and to present it to the American people.
