Some Heavy Rain Is Likely To Fall Thursday Into Friday.
Flash Flood Watch is in effect in Massachusetts from June 27,2013 Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon.
An anomalous setup for June, a strengthening low pressure center will move east from the Great Lakes along a stalled frontal boundary through New York and Southern New England late tomorrow, then slide northeast into Friday. This will lead some thunderstorms with heavy rainfall Thursday, then more widespread moderate to heavy rain Thursday night ahead of the low pressure center. With very moist air mass in place, and the threat for some training pockets of heavy rain. Localized flash flooding is possible.
The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a Flash Flood Watch for northern Connecticut, all of Rhode Island except for Block Island, and most of Massachusetts except for the Cape and Islands.
