Police Brutality During Occupy Wall Street

I personally have reserved comment on the Occupy Wall Street movement because I haven’t had the chance to go to NY and speak to the protestors myself. I have some opinions but have stayed away from expressing them as of yet.

I do not however have any reservations about speaking on the behavior of some of the NYPD officers. It seems that I am not alone in this boat:

In this report the commentator suggests that what is happening at Occupy Wall Street is not a New york City problem but a nationwide issue. The reporter suggests that “bending” the law is a way of life amongst law enforcement in this country. I’ve raised the flag concerning the militant ways of our local police departments nationwide on several occasions but I’ve never gone as far as to bring up the Rodney King case.

I do remember hearing reports that Mayor Bloomberg warned of riots if the economic outlook does not improve. As I watch reports like this I can only wonder where this will all end up.
