Bristol Recording Studios To Give Full Audio Engineering Scholarship
Learn from one of the most successful recording studios in Boston with this unique opportunity

BOSTON, JULY 1, 2010—This summer, Bristol Recording Studios is offering one full scholarship to their internationally renowned audio engineering course. Funded by Bristol Studios, this scholarship presents an opportunity to launch a career in music production & recording with hands-on training from industry experts.

The course being offered, Audio Engineering I, begins on July 12, 2010 and ends on July 15, 2010 and is being presented by Bristol Studios’ Senior Producer, Chris Billias. Billias has spent the last 15 years creating literally thousands of music productions for Bristol’s diverse clientele involving him in all aspects of the music and audio world. He has custom designed Bristol’s Audio Engineering Program to create classes that bring the latest knowledge and technology to our students.

“This is the first time we’ve ever been able to offer a full scholarship. Getting a job in a recording studio is becoming more and more competitive, this opportunity gets people ready for any audio related position, from video games and movies to voice-over or even opening your own studio!” says studio manager Jason Blaske.

Bristol Recording Studios Audio Engineering Course prepares students for a successful career in the music business. In keeping their classroom size small, Bristol students get the opportunity to work in an actual studio setting where both the theory and practice of audio engineering is stressed. They receive a true “hands on” education that will give them the skills they need to succeed in this industry.

“I came to Bristol Recording Studios after one semester at a local College of Music. It seemed that it was going to be semesters before I could get into music production classes in college. A professor suggested Bristol Studios, and I enrolled into the audio engineering classes there to get a head start. I liked the teacher Chris Billias, and I liked the studio; I completed the course and signed on for the internship, which was awesome. It was my first real experience in a recording studio environment and I loved it. I left Boston for Los Angeles and quickly found employment in several studios there due to what I learned at Bristol. After working in L.A. for a year I returned home to Oklahoma where I built my own studio. Thanks to all at Bristol for helping me get my own studio successfully off the ground!” ~ Bristol graduate, CF

Scholarship applicants are asked to write a short essay on why the audio engineering scholarship should be awarded to them and what they hope to achieve with the training they will receive. The scholarship winner will be chosen on July 7, 2010. If you interested in applying please register on the Bristol Recording Studios website http://bristolstudios.com/eng.html
