WKMG Local 6 News hired an analyst to reconstruct the event timeline based on available information. This timeline analysis suggests that Martin had more than enough time to walk to his home if he wanted to. It also suggests that George Zimmerman has not been completely honest about his actions and whereabouts prior to the shooting.  The course of events as explained by George Zimmerman seems to leave over 2 minutes unaccounted for.

The hired forensics analyst also reconstructed the act of shooting the same caliber weapon [that George Zimmerman had] through two t-shirts and found that the evidence suggests that Trayvon was indeed standing over George Zimmerman at the time of the shooting.

Interviewer: What did he [Zimmerman] do? Where did he go?

Analyst: That’s the part that remains somewhat in question.
