There was a highly publicized altercation a few weeks ago between Ice Burgundy from Bricksquad and the Game. In an interview on Worldstar Hiphop RoseMo700 said that he physically knocked out the Game during that same altercation. Bricksquad and the Game are Bloods. During the interview Rosemo700 and Ice Burgundy explain the innerworkings of the gang and go on to clarify that have “seniority” and rank over Game in the streets. Ice Burgundy says that the altercation started over a “tweet” and escalated into a street fight after inuendo’s and threats were made via cyberspace.
The blogosphere is now split between apathy and remorse as reports are now coming in that RoseMo700 was found dead in Los Angeles. This comes only hours after a youtube video surfaced of Rosemo700 in a fist fight with another rapper named Boskoe1.
There is also a second video of Boskoe1 explaining what happened during and what lead up to the fight. Boskoe claims that he had got into an arguement via twitter with another artist named Ice Burgundy. RoseMo is part of Burgundy’s crew. Boskoe1 says the arguement should have stayed between him and Burgundy but escalated when RoseMo came around asking for Boskoe. Boskoe says the beef should’ve stayed between him Ice Burgundy but he does talk slick about RoseMo in a song on Youtube.
During the Youtube video of the fight between Rosemo and Boskoe a third man can be seen throwing punches and following close by as Boskoe walked away. Boskoe says that he was “set up” by someone that he thought was on his side. He claims that as he left his home to meet his “friend” he was unknowingly ambushed by the Bricksquad associates. Boskoe1 said that the beef wasn’t over and suggested that there would be “payback” but declined to say specifically what.
At this time there are no details out on how RoseMo700 actually died, just R.I.P. messages on the boards. If in fact RoseMo was murdered the speculation as to who did it is high. The confusing thing is, I’m pretty sure noone from Ice Burgundy’s camp expected anyone of this to end in death. If so, I find it hard to imagine they would willingly publicize the play by play details. So it looks like what started out as a publicity stunt and fame chasin’ has cost a life.
This is tragic no matter how you slice it. Grown men arguing via a social network. To me there’s nothing REAL about it. We now live in a world where the streets is following what happens on twitter. The District Attorney’s office is either laughing or scratching their heads. It’s crazy to say the least. I’m sure someone is using scenarios like this to justify having Hiphop Police right now. I’m (smh) waiting for the next rapper to say it’s just music. My condolonces go out to the family of RoseMo700. R.I.P. Loss of life is tragic and we can’t ever see it as anything less than that.
